I can not understand why a non Christian would want to read the Religion Forum, unless he is curious.

You can never rise above the image that you have of yourself in your own mind."
I post pretty regularly on the largest martial arts forum on the net. The place is huge, literally dozens of side forums, maybe a hundred or more. They have a "Holyground" forum moderated by a pro fighter who is also an ordained minister.
Probably a third of the threads there are started by atheists questioning everything from "did a historical Jesus even exist?" to "Is the existence of God any more likely than the existence of Santa?". There are ALOT of evolution threads. I've debated some pretty well known people there including "Fear Factor" host Joe Rogan. We even carried a couple over to email exchanges. (Yeah, I have Joe Rogan's email....no I'm not giving it out)
Nonbelievers, at least younger ones, seem to be more likely to try to convert believers to their way of thinking than the other way around. That says something in itself I guess...

That's easy, just move.....they got plenty of room in Iraq...Heck they are killing each other off like flies...Nobody has to live in this horrible country, so you see it, but it's the only place I'll ever call home...

Whoever said anything about the country ? If folks want to not be tolerant of other religions maybe they could all load up and go back to the countries our forefathers left for exactly that reason. Furthermore, this is called the religion forum. If all that is wanted here is the Christian point of view...maybe rename it the "Christian Forum".

Just because someone isn't a Christian doesn't mean that they have no religious beliefs/practices. Christianity is not the only religion that exists. Having a forum like this should be about discussion, not conversion (as one former poster found out). It's all about letting people decide for themselves, for they alone are responsible for their personal choice.
I make Machiavelli look like a weenie.
I agree w/alienist. This isn't called the Christian forum, its the religion forum. I think we as Christians, need to embrace this. Not force our faith on someone. But if he has questions, then provide answers.

And as long as anyone that's a Christian is grounded in their faith, they should feel no threat and see the merits of at least understanding other faiths more fully and warn against extremist wings in all religions, including their own.
The Bible may have all the answers, but if you understand only one POV, how much do you really know? To give an example that Gotch will relate to, if you're a shoot-fighting enthusiast, and only swear by learning that discipline, but then go into a fight against someone that's trained shoot-fighting, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, judo, muay thai, taekwondo, etc...you're probably going to get beat, but even if you win--your scope of knowledge isn't going to be as great as the other guy, so you only have one way to win.
Having knowledge about all religions isn't a bad thing. Belief in one sole faith is a personal choice, but it's also a choice (a bad one) to learn about only one religion instead of expanding your horizons.

Here is a super and historically accurate article I found.

Hmmmmm....wonder what CBN stands for ?...lol...anyways after reading that thread it occurs to me that we as individuals are bound by race as much as we are by religion. As much as "Christians" hating Muslims is condoned on here, I don't think the same thing would be tolerated if it were a black person (and heaven knows they weren't treated equally for decades in this country) spewing skewed biased remarks towards whites. That article is nothing more than a biased organization crying over spilt milk because they are too afraid or lazy to confront the one thing they fear. Sounded to me like anti-communist propaganda from the 1980's.
